How long is a product license valid for?

PDi product licenses are valid for 365 days. A warning will be displayed 30 days before expiration and every day for the last seven days.

Can I purchase a license for a longer valid period?

Yes, PDi products are licensed for 365 days as standard, but we can extend this to more than 365 days in whole yearly periods.

How are licenses controlled?

Licenses are controlled based on a unique serial number and machine ID generated by the PDi application. Both are used to validate the license and that can be used by the workstation and PDi application.

Can we transfer a license to another workstation?

Yes, a license can be transferred from one workstation to a new workstation. A transfer request form will be sent asking for confirmation of the transfer. The previous workstation license will be revoked, and if the application is started, it will be terminated due to the revoked license.

Can licenses be purchased for a Remote Desktop solution ?

Yes, PDi products can be licensed with a Remote server environment for the required number of users. The license count is for concurrent users and not name users.

Can I purchase a license for more than one Sage Pastel Partner company version?

While we typically issue licenses for accessing a single version of Sage Pastel Partner, exceptions can be made to issue a license for different versions. In most cases, we recommend converting all data that needs to be accessed to the same version.

Can a single license be purchased for all workstations on a Corporate network?

PDi products are licensed based on a unique key assigned to each workstation. Therefore, each workstation must be licensed if a PDi product is used.
